Biography ALARCö?N Pedro Antonio de (Alarcon Pedro Antonio de)
(1833-1891) Born March 10, 1833 in Guadix (Andalusia). Has not been completed study law and theology, has remained largely self-taught. Some time led the liberal newspaper 'Latigo' ( 'Beach'). Since the beginning of the war between Spain and Morocco in 1859, Alarcon has joined the Expeditionary Corps, for participation in the campaign has received several awards. In 1860 undertook a trip to Italy. The military and travel experiences are reflected in the first two books Alarcö¨n - Diary of members of the African War (Diario de un testigo de guerra de Africa, 1860) and from Madrid to Naples (De Madrid Napoles, 1861). Historical novel Alpuharra (La Alpujarra, 1873), tells of an uprising Moriscos in the days of Philip II, allows us to trace the movement of the creative manner of genre writer chronicles and travel notes for the novel.
