Biography HOOD Truman (Capote Truman)
(1924-1984), was best known as a representative of the genre 'unfabled' novel and short story, or a so-called. 'new journalism'. The most famous of his work in this genre - coolly (In Cold Blood, 1966; in Russian. translation Ordinary murder, 1966), documenting the story of the brutal extermination of a farm family in Kansas, which reveals the psychology of artistic means of two killers.
Born September 30, 1924 in New Orleans (pc. Louisiana). At the age of 19, published in the journal 'Mademoiselle' story of Miriam, who has received an award of O. Henry. In the first novel, Capote, Other Voices, Other Rooms (Other Voices, Other Rooms, 1948), a lonely boy faced with anomalies and oddities of life of adults in Louisiana dilapidated mansion. Collection Tree of Night and Other Stories (A Tree of Night and Other Stories) was published in 1949, the story wood Harp (The Grass Harp) - 1951. Unlike the documentary works, here the author's apparent tendency to fantasy and the grotesque and his aversion to the philistine life
