Paul Claudel (Claudel Paul)

Born Aug. 6, 1868 in Villeneuve. As a diplomat representing France in many countries, including China, Japan, United States. Some of his works, such as Knowledge of the East (Connaissance de l'Est, 1900-1907), convey impressions of diplomatic travels, while most of the other - Catholic Apologetics. Claudel has developed a new style of writing, biblical in spirit and next, as he asserted himself, the natural rhythm of the human heart and respiration.
