(1897-1938) Born in Sverdlovsk, August 23, 1897. In 1921 he graduated from etnologo and Linguistics Department Faculty of Social Sciences LSU Department of Sinology, where he studied Chinese language and literature under the guidance of VM Alexeyev, N. Conrad, O. Rosenberg. By 1922 translated the treatise Ge Hong Baopu-tzu, now lost. In 1923, together with VM Alexeyev published anthology of Chinese poetry VIII-IX centuries. Since 1920 in the Asiatic Museum of the Academy of Sciences, has gone from fellow 3rd level before learned curator of the museum.
