Biography George Enescu (Enescu Georges)
(1881-1955) Born August 19, 1881 in the shower (Romania). After graduating from the Vienna Conservatory at the age of 13 years, Enescu entered the Paris Conservatoire, where he received first prize for violin. With equal success as a soloist and as a conductor, as a teacher for several years was a mentor Yehudi Menuhin. Among the works of Enescu - Opera Oedipus (Oedipe, 1936), three symphonies, two Romanian Rhapsodies orchestral, chamber symphony for cello and small orchestra, chamber works, including pieces for violin and piano. Enescu died in Paris on 4 May 1955.
