Koshel James Romanovich

(genus. 6.IV.1921, der. Gar Belsky County Smolensk Province.)
Member of the Great Patriotic War. He was awarded orders and medals. In 1948, Mr.. graduated from the historical-philological faculty of Tomsk State University before moving to Smolensk (1967) worked in Tomsk Pedagogical Institute. He was the organizer of many folk-ethnographic expeditions in various regions of Siberia. Having moved to Smolensk, he headed the department, was for 14 years, Provost of the Pedagogical Institute for Science. K. is the author of nearly 300 scientific papers, t.ch. 5 monographs. His main research focus of the Siberian and Smolensk folklore, modern Russian literature (M. Sholokhov, M. Isakovsky, etc.). A large number of pamphlets and articles, some published in German, is connected with the study of problems of aesthetics and psychology of artistic creativity. Under his supervision were prepared and defended 18 theses. During his 20 years as head of the Smolensk Oblast department of the society "Knowledge". Participated in the scientific literature on the commission of the Ministry of Education Russia, headed the scientific coordinating center for the study of creativity A. Tvardovsky M. Isakovskogo, H. Rylenkova. K. - Participant of many international, All-Union, republican and regional conferences on folkloora, literature, methods of university teaching.
