Demidivka Smolensk region - 30.I.1993, Moscow) An outstanding representative Kurnakovskoy School of Physical and Chemical Analysis, Doctor of Chemistry (1944), Professor (1946), Honored Scientist of Russia (1970). Graduated from the Faculty of Education, Department of Natural Smolensky University (1930). For many years the head of the laboratory water-salt equilibria Institute of General and Inorganic Chemistry, USSR Academy of Sciences for 30 years a member of the editorial board of the Journal of Inorganic Chemistry, USSR Academy of Sciences. Under the direction of L. successfully develop scientific cooperation with chemists lONKh Bulgaria, China, East Germany. The main line of work - the application of physical-chemical analysis to the study of liquid mixtures. Participated in the studies of brine and salt deposits of several basins of the USSR and to explore the chemistry of the processes, . occurring in natural water reservoirs and ways of the industrial utilization of these salts, . and to develop methods for obtaining a number of compounds, .
