. Born November 15, 1922 in the town of Bryansk in a working class family. Russian. Member of the CPSU since 1943. Since 1926 he lived in Moscow. He graduated from high school Б•ї 149 and flying club.
In the army since 1940. He graduated from the military aviation school pilots receive additional specialized training in ground attack aircraft.
Member of the Great Patriotic War from August 1942. Was a pilot, flight commander and aviation squadrons 59-Guards Ground Attack Air Regiment. He fought at Stalingrad and Belorussian fronts, participated in the battles at Kursk and on the direction of Belorussian. He flew 175 combat sorties, destroyed 18 enemy aircraft on the ground, 40 tanks, 2 trains and 20 tanks with fuel, put down 22 anti-aircraft artillery point fascists.
