A yudmila Mikhaylovna Paulichenka - sniper 54 th Infantry Regiment (25 th Infantry Division (Chapaevskaya), coastal army, the North-Caucasian Front), Lieutenant. Born July 12, 1916 in the village of White Church (now the city of Kiev region, Ukraine) in the family of an employee. Russian. Member of the CPSU since 1945. Graduated 4-year Kiev State University.
The participant of Great Patriotic War from June 1941 - Volunteer. In part Chapayev Division took part in defensive battles in Moldova and southern Ukraine. For good preparation, she was sent to the sniper platoon. On August 10, 1941 in the division involved in the heroic defense of Odessa. In mid-October 1941, the coastal army were forced to leave Odessa and evacuated to the Crimea to strengthen the defenses of the city of Sevastopol - the naval base of the Black Sea Fleet. 250 days and nights Ludmila Paulichenka held in harsh and heroic battles of Sevastopol. She, along with soldiers of the coastal army and sailors of the Black Sea Fleet courageously defended the city of Russian glory. By July 1942 from a sniper rifle Nazis destroyed 309. Ludmila was not only an excellent sniper, but an excellent teacher.
