With amohvalov Joseph I. - Squadron 825 th Attack Aviation Regiment (225 th assault aviation division, 15-th Air Army, 2 nd Baltic Front) Captain. Born April 17, 1918 in the village Yuzhakova now Trinity area of the Altai Territory in a peasant family. Russian. Member of the CPSU since 1942. He graduated from the 7 classes of secondary schools, 3 course Bijskogo Forestry Engineering College and the Aero Club. In the Red Army from August 3, 1940. In 1941 he graduated from the Perm military aviation school. He served as an instructor in the 12 th Military Aviation School of the initial training of the Volga Military District.
In the army from January 1, 1942. He fought in the South-West, Stalingrad, Southern, North Caucasus, the Leningrad front and in a separate Coastal Army. Commander of the 618 th Attack Aviation Regiment (North-Caucasian Front) Lieutenant Samokhvalov I.I. in 1943, the IL-2 rammed an enemy aircraft, for which he was awarded the Order of Lenin.
By August 1944 Captain Samokhvalov I.I. made 710 sorties to attack the enemy troops (including 598 at the Po-2, 112 on IL-2).

. In 1954 he graduated from the Air Force Academy. On April 26, 1958 Lieutenant Colonel Samokhvalov - in stock. He worked as director of the farm in the town of Zelenograd, Rostov region. Died Aug. 8, 1981. His name is given to the farm and the street in Zelenograd.
. Awarded 2 orders of Lenin, 2 orders of the Red Banner, Order of Alexander Nevsky, 2 orders of the Patriotic War of 1 degree, 2 orders of Red Star and medals.
