With Pirin Ivan Timofeyevich flag-Red Army Air Force navigator. Born August 9, 1898 in the town of Kolomna, Moscow Region. Russian. He graduated from the 3 rd year institution.

Since 1918 the Red Army. Member of the Civil War. Served in one of the first detachments of the Soviet Air Force, fought on the Western Front against Wrangel.

Since 1922 Б?  chief aeronautical sector Research and Testing Institute, Air Force (at the Central Airport). In 1930 he graduated from the Kachin Military Aviation Pilot School. As navigator participated in several long-haul flights to Europe.

. 10-12.09.1934 at the ANT-25 as co-driver (crew commander Б?  M. Gromov, copilot Б?  AI Filin) made a record for distance and duration flight on the closed route Б?  12411 miles in 75 hours.

. In 1930 he taught air navigation in the Air Force Academy named after NE Zhukovsky
. In 1934-1936 Б?  flag-Red Army Air Force navigator.

In 1937 the crew's flagship aircraft (commander Б?  MV Vodop'yanov) participated in the landing on the North Pole first drifting research station North Pole Б•  1 Б•?. Provide accurate landing of the expedition led by I.D. Papanin in the geographic North Pole.

. Great Patriotic War, Major General Spirin met in the post of Chief of the Higher School of Air Pilots and Navigators
. Soon the school was converted into a functioning part. She fought at Smolensk, on Dukhovshchina, at Kalinin and Kaluga, near Moscow. Later headed Aviation Bomber compounds Lieutenant General Aviation (since 1943) I.T. Spirin acted on other fronts.

In 1950 he graduated from the Military Academy of the General Staff. He taught at the Air Force Academy (now Б?  Gagarin) and the General Staff Academy. He was engaged in the theoretical basis for methods of piloting in Antarctica. Б?  Since 1955, retired.

F ill in Moscow. Died Nov. 4, 1960. He is buried in Moscow on Vvedenskoye cemetery.

Doctor of Geographical Sciences, Professor. Awarded 3 orders of Lenin, 2 orders of the Red Banner, Order of the Patriotic War, 1 st degree, of the Red Banner, 2 orders of Red Star and medals. Its named after a street in Moscow. At home Б•ї 64 at Gorky Street, where he lived in Moscow, a memorial plaque, erected in Kolomna bust.
