W iyanov Georgi Mikhailovich - Test Pilot. Born Dec. 7, 1910 in Moscow (on Novopeschanaya Street). Russian. In 1928 he graduated from Moscow radiotehnikum. Worked as a tool-maker, a loader, a technician at the plant. From 1932 he worked at TsAGI senior technician testing. Worked in mountaineering and in 1933 participated in the first ascent of Mount Communism. In 1934-1935 he served in the army (in one of the first airborne units). In 1935 he graduated from flight school at TsAGI and externally Kachin Military Aviation Pilot School.
In 1935-1941 Б? Test Pilot TsAGI (the Central airport). Rise into the sky and tested experimental planes SK-1, IP-1, SC-2, took part in trials of many other types of aircraft.
. In Private World War II: in July-August 1941 pilot Б? 2 nd Independent Fighter Aviation Squadron (Air Defense, Moscow), committed 12 night sorties.
. In 1941-1967 Б? in flight test work in the Flight Research Institute (now named Б? LII Gromov)
. In 1946-1947 tested the first domestic jet fighter, the MiG-9. April 13, 1957 for the first time in the country made bezaerodromny start on the plane SM-30; in the tests carried out such 7 launches.
