OLEXANDRIYSKE Dionysius (Dionysios)

Dionysius of Alexandria, Dionysios, Latin. Dionysius, nicknamed Periget (g. Periegetes, ie by perigezy; cm. Geographical literature), the author of Greek didactic poems. In 124 g. wrote a didactic poem (1187 hexameters) Description of the inhabited world (Periegesis tes oikumenes).
