PALLADA (Palladas)

Pallas; Palladas, of Alexandria, the second half of IV in. n. e., Greek poet. Schoolteachers. Maintained at approximately 150 epigrams, in which P. sharply attacks and ridicules human vices or many expressed their pessimistic outlook on life. He predicted trouble, refers to the neglect of pagan rituals, expressing their sympathy for him, although he is more agnostic than a pagan.
