Sir Milton Margai, the grandson of the supreme leader and the first local physician who has received higher education, worked in the management of the medical service of the Protectorate of Sierra Leone until 1950, Mr.. His political career began after the Second World War. In 1951, Mr.. he founded the People's Party of Sierra Leone, which has received support from local leaders, and became popular among the rural population.
