KURASH Sergey

S. Kurashov was born on October 1, 1910 in the village Klyuchik (now the Tambov region.). After finishing school in the city of Penza P. Kurashov in 1926 entered the Medical Faculty of Saratov University, and two years later was transferred to Kazan, where he graduated in 1931, the Medical Faculty of the Kazan University.

Kurashov appointed concurrently as chief physician clinics, medical school, where they carried out extensive work on the reorganization of medical affairs, the economic viability of clinics. In 1940, SV. Kurashov was awarded the title of Honored Doctor of the Tatar ASSR. In 1941, SV. Kurashov was appointed director of the Kazan Medical Institute. In the same year, medical school has developed such important topics as treatment for burn disease, methods of suture in the wound in the abdomen, were offered ampoules for transfusion, storage and transportation of blood.

Under the direction of SV. Kurashova been implemented important measures for the development and restructuring of the health system in the country. Kurashova on the organization of medical care to patients with cardiovascular diseases; great contribution was made to them in the development of psychiatric science and practice. SV. Kurashov died Aug. 27, 1965. In the same year, Kazan Medical Institute was named after him.
