Forsch Olga (1873 - 1961), writer.

Born on May 16 (28 NS) in the fortress Gunib in Dagestan in the family of General D. Komarov, head of the Middle District of Dagestan. His mother died very early, and raising of children engaged in general the maid, who later married to Komarova. After the death of her husband, she immediately gave her stepdaughter in orphanage institute in Moscow. Later, the future writer was studying painting in the drawing school in Kiev and Odessa, as well as in the studio Chistyakov the Academy of Fine Arts.

In 1891 he participated in the fight against hunger in the province of Tula, worked in "Tolstoy's mess".

In 1908 in the journal "Russian Thought" was published her first story (as she writes - "a successfully") entitled "A General". This year it was published three stories: "Bear Panfamil", "For the fire-bird", "skirmisher".

Before the revolution Forsch lived and worked as a teacher of drawing in Tsarskoe Selo, and many appeared in various journals in St. Petersburg. Shortly after the October Revolution had gone to Moscow to work in the Division of reform school, he was appointed assistant director of "aesthetic development of the people". Impressions from this time later will be reflected in the book "Moscow Stories".

In subsequent years, worked in Kiev Vseizdate, then moved to Petrograd. 1923 was a turning point in the work of the writer, moved from working on stories of his historical novel - "Dressed Stone" (1924 - 25) who had a great success and revealing the real talent of the writer.

In 1926 published a historical novel "Contemporaries" on the fate of Gogol and the artist Ivanova.

In 1930 Forsch working on a trilogy "Radishchev", which finally confirms it as one of the leading historical novelists. Paul's time 1 depicts her next book - "Michael's Castle" (1946). Last of its major product was a novel about the Decembrists, the firstborn of freedom "(1950 - 53). Died O. Forsch in 1961.
