Pugachev Semyon Andreyevich (13.2.1889, Ryazan - 23.03.1943), military leader, Corps Commander (1935). Son Teacher. Educated at military school Alexeyev (1908) and Nikolaev Military Academy (1914). Participant 1-st World War, Captain. In April. 1918 voluntarily joined the Red Army. In 1918-20 in senior positions in the headquarters of the various armies and fronts. From March 1920 to May 1921 beginning. Staff of the Caucasian Front. Led the development of operational plans to defeat the White armies in the North Caucasus. In August. 1923 - April. 1924 commander of the Turkestan Front. Moderated ruthless fight Basmachi and supporting their population of Bukhara, Khorezm, etc..
