PACKARD, David (Packard David) (7 September 1912, Pueblo, pc. Colorado - March 26, 1996, Stanford, pc. California), American engineer and entrepreneur, co-founder of Hewlett-Packard.

In 1934, received a bachelor's degree from Stanford University (pc. California) has been employed in the company of General Electric. In 1938 he returned to Stanford, where he received a diploma in electrical engineering, and in 1939 together with William Hewlett founded the company, which settled in the garage of a small two-storey house in Palo Alto.
