Biography VASSILIEVA Elizabeth I.
Vasilyeva, Elizaveta Ivanovna (1887-1928), Russian poet, playwright, translator. Born on March 31 (12 April) 1887 in St. Petersburg in impoverished noble family Dmitrievs (by that name published till 1909 his works). His father, a middle school teacher, soon died of tuberculosis, doomed and Vasiliev in childhood and early adolescence to severe disease (its consequences - lameness - remained a poet for life). She graduated from St. Petersburg Women's Pedagogical Institute (1904-1908), while studying at the Sorbonne (1908).
Printed in 1909 (their own poems and translations). In the same year, together with NS Gumilev came to g.Koktebel (Crimea) to the MA Voloshin, . with which invented a pseudonym Cherubina de Gabriak, . under which, . starting with a speech in 1909 in the journal 'Apollo', . began to publish the mystical-philosophical poems, . full of religious and romantic exaltation and 'Spanish' exotics, . making in the literature 'Silver Age' image of exquisite beauty, . belonging to an ancient heraldic family and self-seclusion of the will of the despot-father,
. A few months later the heroine of a hoax (the subject of love not only Gumilev and Voloshin, . but also - in absentia - editor and publisher of 'Apollo' SK Makovsky) was, . due to negligence of recognition, .
