GUERRA Junqueira Abilio Manuel

GUERRA Junqueira, Abilio Manuel (Guerra Junqueiro, Abilio Manuel) (1850-1923), Portuguese poet. Born September 17, 1850 Freixo de Espada-ц?-Cinta (prov. Traz-too-Montes). At the University of Coimbra, first studied theology, then jurisprudence. In Licsabone friends with 'Generation 1870' - a group of young writers (JM Esa de Keyrosh, A.di Kentau, O. Martins and others), then joined the group 'Defeated life', has as its goal the development of urban culture. In 1880-1881 and 1888-1889 was a member of the Chamber of Deputies. In the 1890's moved away from politics. In 1911-1914 - Ambassador to Switzerland. Died Guerra Junqueira in Lisbon July 7, 1923.
