Bibikov Boris

Bibikov, Boris Vladimirovich (1900-1986), Russian director and teacher. Honored Artist of the Bashkir Autonomous Soviet Socialist Republic (1959). Born 9 (22) July 1900 in Serpukhov. From childhood fascinated theater, worked in the studio of M. Chekhov. Creative activity began in 1922 as an actor in the 1-st Moscow Art Theater Studio (Jack - "The flying doctor" S. Margomena, Mishon - "Erik XIV" A. Strindberg, a servant - "Princess Turandot" by Carlo Gozzi.). In the 1st Studio Bibikov met with OI Pyzhova, which later became his wife. Worked as assistant-director in the Moscow Theater of the Revolution (later - Theater. Vl.Mayakovskogo), took part in staging the play "The man with the briefcase" A. Faiko (1928, dir. AD Wild). A committed follower of 'Stanislavsky system', Bibikov purely individual approach to every future artist, awakening in them the characteristic taste, imagination. With the advent of the students at the Tajik Bibikova scene began active development of the performing principles, which absorbed national artistic traditions and achievements of the theatrical art of other peoples. Among his pupils - Isaeva, H. Abdurazzakov, N. Khasanov, MM Kamalov. T. Rozikov, K. Khamidov, R. Kasimov, A. Kadyrov and other.

In 1978 Bibikov moved to Dushanbe, during the four years he taught at the Tajik State Institute of Arts named M.Tursun-Zadeh. Acted in films ( "Unforgettable 1919", 1951; "Come tomorrow," 1963; "Major Whirlwind", 1967, etc.).

Bibikov died in Dushanbe on 5 November 1986.
