Robbe-Grillet, Alain (Robbe-Grillet, Alain) (p. 1922), French novelist, essayist and filmmaker. Born August 18, 1922 in Brest. In 1945 he graduated from the National Agricultural College. His first novel, "Pencil" (Les Gommes, 1953), where the story of Oedipus is complicated by the atmosphere of mystery, is the key to all his work. His work was recognized with the appearance of "Peeper" (Le Voyeur, 1955), which is described similar to hypnosis mania pervert, and "Jealousy" (La Jalousi, 1957), often called his most successful novel. There is almost no action. The book provides detailed descriptions of inanimate objects (the so-called 'shozizm'), the characters are so insignificant, as indicated by the initials.
