Luc Merville

Luke was born in Haiti, in Port-au-Prince in 1968. Up to 4 years, he lived in New York, where his father led the company to sell limousines. 4 years Luke and his mother moved to Quebec. It is in Quebec, he will begin his career.

In 1987, Luc, together with other Rudy Toussaint creates a group Rudeluck. In 1992, the group takes part in the festival 'L'Empire des Futures Stars' and wins. In 1993, the first album of the same name Rudeluck. In 1994, the group participates in the 'Francofolies de Montreal' and the summer festival in Quebec, where there is a huge success. It is Francofolies Luke met with Luc Plamondon.

In 1994 the band performed at the concerts 'Printemps de Bourges' and 'Francofolies de la Rochelle' in France. In 1995 Rudeluck makes two trips to France and released there album Rudeluck (Air Musik / Polygram).

In 1996 Luke released his solo English album and returned to Canada. In 1997, Luke takes part in the 'Fete du Canada' and the gala show 'Francofetes' in Montreal, popular in all francophone countries. Luke gets role in the project 'Sauve qui peut' in Quebec, as well as the role of a bug in the musical Plamondon - Cocciante, Notre-Dame de Paris. After participating in the original production of the musical, Luke takes part in the English version and moved to London in 2000. In the same 2000 Luke released his second solo album francophone 'Luck Mervil'.

Currently, Luke solo career, continues to sing in Rudeluck, participates in many shows (in Ottawa dedicated to Luc Plamondon, Celine Dion show), acted in films.
