John Sidney McCain III (John Sidney McCain III) was born August 29, 1936 at the U.S. naval base in the Panama Canal Zone. In 1958 he graduated from the Naval Academy in Annapolis, USA (Maryland), and enlisted in the Naval Air. In 1967, during the Vietnam War, McCain's plane was shot down over Hanoi, and he spent five and a half years in captivity. Upon returning to the United States returned to service in 1974, graduated from National War College in Washington, in 1981, retired. Has a number of military decorations.

After working in the company of his wife's father, "beer baron, James Hensley, Republican McCain launched a political career.
