Biography МакSи́м (Maxi-M)
МакSи́м (Earlier nickname - Maxi-M; real name Abrosimova Marina Sergeevna) - the Russian singer, author, performer and musical producer.

Marina Abrosimova was born on June, 10, 1983 in Kazan. Since early childhood she started to study music, studied at music school, class of vocal and piano. She spent a lot of time with er elder brother Maxim, that's why she received the nickname Maxim which became her creative pseudonym later.

From 14 the girl started to participate in various musical competitions, such as 'Teen star' and 'the Necklace of Nefertiti', she began to write her own songs.

MakSim's musical preferences in childhood were rather various. She preferred to listen to various musicians and musical bands, beggining from group the "Spleen" to 'Visitors from the future'. Also musical tastes of the singer were influenced by preferences of her father who preferred the groups 'The Beatles' and 'Pink Floyd'. Due to the fact that MakSim spent much time with her elder brother, she listened to a lot of casual music. In childhood she studied in music school, piano class. According to MakSim, she can also play the guitar, but not professionally.

By 15 years, having resolved to become a singer, Marina started to do her first steps in musical career. At Kazan studios with cooperation of the group "Pro-Z" she recorded her first songs.

МакSим proceeded independently with her career, wrote down new songs. During this period the singer acted as the low budget project, cooperated with little-known collectives, for example, with the group "Lips" which she recalls with reluctance of.

Also, during this period MakSim wrote songs for the band "Ш-cola".

In 2003 the singer independently released on radio a single 'Difficult Age' which, however, had no big success, as well as her second single "Tenderness". In 2004 MakSim released on the radio the song 'Centimeters of breath'. Unexpectedly the single made big success in spite of the fact that it had not been supported by any promo-campaign, reached 34th position in the Russian radio chart. However the singer still remained unknown among the public. МакSим understood necessity of changes and left for Moscow. In the capital the girl collected material for the first solo album, wrote new songs.

The success came to the singer with release of the album 'The Awkward Age' on March, 28, 2006, its 1,5 million copies were sold, and in 2007 MakSim became the most commercially successful singer in Russia. МакSим won Best performer' nomination at the ceremony Russian Music Awards of MTV and Muz TV channels. More than 1,3 million copies of the second album of the singer, 'My Paradise', were sold. МакSим is the sole singer, whose 6 singles consistently won first place in the Russian radio chart.

In December, 2009 her third studio album "the Loner" was released and received the gold status.

МакSим toured with concerts in Russia, Germany, Kazakhstan, Belarus, Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania and Israel. During this tour the singer performed more than 90 concerts.
According to some information, in October, 2008 on Bali island (Indonesia), the singer married her sound producer Alexey Lugovtsov. On March, 8, 2009 MakSim gave birth to daughter named Aleksandra.

In December, 2010 mass-media had information on divorce of the singer with Alexey Lugovtsov. In March, 2011 this information proved to be true.

In a short period MakSim became one of the most popular singers in Russia and the CIS countries. Having developed her unique style and thanks to huge working capacity, the singer became the most successful perfomer in Russia in the first decade of the new century. She is named the pop princess and most sold singer in Russia.
