Born May 1, 1948 to Mr.. Smolensk.
In 1973 he graduated from the Smolensk Branch of Moscow Power Engineering Institute, specializing in Automation and Remote Control ". In 1989 he graduated from the Academy of National Economy under the USSR Council of Ministers.
. Within five years he worked at the Smolensk plant "meter" in the post of electrician to senior test engineer.
. Since 1977 - at the party work, since 1987 - first secretary of Party Committee of Smolensk.
. From 1989 to 1993 - Chairman of the Smolensk regional employment center.
. From 1995 to January 1998 - first deputy head of the Smolensk region.
. 21 December 1997 was elected to the Regional Legislative Assembly
. From January 1998 - Chairman of the Smolensk Oblast Duma.
The credentials are recognized by the Federation Council on Jan. 28, 1998.
Married. Has two daughters.
