Born January 24, 1966.
Graduated from the Department of TV Journalism Faculty of Moscow State University. In 1995, an intern at Duke University (North Carolina, USA).
She worked in the program "Good Evening, Moscow!".
From 1987 to 1990 worked in the program "The View" and then in the program "Top Secret". Few years cooperated with Western broadcasters.
Since 1993 - correspondent, special correspondent for NTV television. Since 1995 - a war correspondent for NTV in "hot spots".
More than ten times traveled on official business in the zone of hostilities in Chechnya. Familiar with many field commanders of the Chechen separatists: Shamil Basayev, Movladi Udugov, Aslan Maskhadov, etc.. Also visited Tajikistan and Afghanistan.
May 10, 1997, together with the NTV crew was kidnapped by unknown persons on the territory of Chechnya. Released on 18 August 1997.
In July 1998
Masyuk was declared persona non grata on the territory of Tajikistan because of a series of television coverage of events in Tajikistan, displayed 22 - July 23, 1998 on NTV.
