Born December 18, 1940 in Moscow.
. In 1963 he graduated from Moscow State Institute of International Relations (MGIMO), specializing in international journalist.
. From 1963 to 1978 he worked in the newspaper "Komsomolskaya Pravda", where he held the positions of the literary staff of the foreign department to the executive secretary "KP"
. Was our own correspondent "KP" in New York.
From 1978 to 1985 served as deputy chief editor of the weekly Moscow News.
Since the autumn of 1985 - the deputy editor of the weekly magazine "New Era". From August 1990 - Editor in Chief, "New Era".
. In March 1998 he was elected president of the Association of Free Press (ASP).
. He is the author of scenarios of documentary films "The Rape of Europa", "Peace March", "The strength and weakness of the president," Roman Age ", etc.
