1925, Moscow. He studied at the Moscow Polygraphic Institute (1947-53). Lives and works in Moscow. Since 1956 working in the field of book illustrations for children (publisher: "Children's Literature", "Children's World," "Babe," "Soviet Russia", "Artist of the RSFSR," "Art," "Fiction", etc.). Member of Artists Union of Russia. Exhibitions since 1957. Honored Artist of the RSFSR. Recipient of several awards and certificates for the illustrations to children's literary tales. Winner of the Diploma of Hans Christian Andersen for the illustrations to books for children (1978). His work is characterized by color, decorative and rhythmic expression, bright romantic attitude. Works are held in the State Tretyakov Gallery and the Pushkin Museum of. A.S. Pushkin, Moscow, RM, St. Petersburg and in collections in Denmark, Italy, USA, Germany, France etc.
