PEVZNER Nathan (Antoine)

1886, Orel - 1962, Paris. Studied at the khu (1902-09), attended the IAH (1909-10). He lived several years in France. In 1920, together with H. Gabo produced program constructivism "Realistic Manifesto". In his works Pevzner took as a basis for academic table cones and cylinders, . but used them not as a means to approach the models of classical beauty, . but as the artistic alphabet with a lot of new combinations, . components, . his understanding, . finished work,
. The artist was fascinated by the discovery of similarities between the skeletal structure of human and industrial frameworks of new building designs. Some of his later works resemble anatomical dummies. Since 1923 he lived in Paris. Products are in the State Tretyakov Gallery, Moscow; SRM, St. Petersburg, etc.. museums and private collections.
