ROSSINI Solomon (Rozin, Albert Solomonovich)

1937, Gomel. He studied at the Leningrad Higher School of Industrial Art of. VI. Fly (1956-58), in the Moscow Higher School of Industrial Art (1959-64). Exhibitions since 1964. Member TEII (1982-87). From 1965 to 1990 he lived in Leningrad. Since 1990 lives and works in Brittany (France). From portraits, landscapes, still lifes, genre and figurative compositions. Rossin rightly recognized as one of the most original masters of non-conformist, who stood alone at the Leningrad unofficial art 1960-80-ies. His paintings are distinguished by a kind of parable, grotesque and passionate painterly. Characters of Rossini - people are marginalized or living outside of generally recognized norms.
