Boris Sveshnikov

1927, Moscow - 1998, Moscow. He studied at the Moscow Institute of Applied and Decorative Art (1945-46). Since 1958 member of the Union of Artists. Exhibitions with Sveshnikov took place in Montgeron, France (1976), Bochum, Germany (1979), Moscow (1987 and 1988). Creativity of the artist affect the metaphysical perspective. In his works he often uses the methods characteristic of expressionism and surrealism. In the pictures Sveshnikova oddly combines mysterious plots and grotesque, and restrained use of color and technique of point picturesque smears (pointillism) determine the identity and originality of its author's style. Works are in private and public collections in Russia and abroad.
