Biography EGIDES Peter Markovic
Date of Birth: September 15, 1917 Eleven years spent in Soviet prisons and camps. Socialist dissident, until recently, immigrant (he lived in France, a member of the Socialist Party of France). In 1993, signed a joint statement with Sinyavskys Andrei and Vladimir Maximov, sharply criticized the government of Russia during the events of October 3-4. Put forward in the State Duma of the sixth convocation of the electoral union "Party government workers". In August 1995, Egides wrote a letter addressed to such politicians and public figures as Mikhail Gorbachev, Alexander Rutskoi, Svyatoslav Fyodorov, Yuri Skokov, Mikhail Lapshin, Aman Tuleyev, Sergei Glazyev, Alexei Kazannik. The writer calls upon them to unite. We approached the last turn of the fork, he writes.
