To 1936 Dmitry Yezerskyy studied in junior high school and trade schools, worked in a factory lathe for metal. In 1938 he graduated from flying school Bataisk GVF, and after the war, in 1948 - the Tashkent school of flight training.

. Before World War II he served in the post-pilot in the pilot's 209-m squadron GVF in Bashkortostan (September 1938 - March 1941) and Ukraine (March 1941)
. Since the beginning of the war he was appointed pilot 4-th squadron of the Kiev special formations GVF at the South-Western Front. From October 1941 to April 1942 - Commander of the managers, chief pilot of the Military Council of 40 th Army in South-Western Front.

In April 1942 a new stage in military service D. S. Jeziorsko. After relearning to transport aircraft Li-2 in July 1942 he was appointed as a pilot, and in September the same year - the commander of the ships Li-2 and C-47 (Dakota) in the Moscow Air Group Special Purpose. Later it was transformed into a 10-Guards ADT GVF stationed at Vnukovo. Hence D. S. Ezersky of night flights in the rear of the enemy: the guerrillas delivered weapons, ammunition, medicines, different equipment, evacuated the seriously wounded, parachuted the special group, flew in to investigate.

He also took up other jobs. So in 1943, when preparations were underway for the release of the Crimea, Air Group aircraft Li-2 and C-47, based at the airfield Crimea (in the Kuban region), under the command of Hero of the Soviet Union, GA. Tarana, was evacuated and saved from destruction a large group of children from a guerilla group, acting in the Crimea. Despite the information received on an extremely constrained location (in the mountains) and a very poor state of ground landing pad, D. S. Yezerskyy first went into a risky flight, managed to successfully land their plane, and then take off with 28 children on board. At the request of the commander of the group, he repeated the most difficult journey, showing how to act, another pilot. Thanks to the dedication and skill of the highest fliers of the three nights were evacuated and rescued 272 children.

From June 1944 to January 1945 of squadrons of transport aircraft 10 th Guards ADT GVF D. S. Yezerskyy to fly with the Soviet airbase Bari (Italy) with similar objectives in the enemy's rear in the location of the People's Liberation Army of Yugoslavia. During the period from July 10, 1944 to March 20, 1945 Guard Lieutenant Yezerskiy successfully completed 66 combat missions behind enemy lines, of which 47 with a stopover in the location of the Yugoslav partisan units. He delivered piecemeal NOAYU 88 tonnes of weapons, ammunition and food, had brought 405 wounded, tossed through the front line officers and 508 soldiers of the Yugoslav and Allied armies. In total, during the war DS. Yezerskyy only in the rear of the enemy carried out 226 night flights, including 78 from landing on partisan grounds. For exemplary performance of combat tasks and for displaying courage and heroism of June 29, 1945 DS. Jeziorsko awarded the title Hero of the Soviet Union.

In November 1945 with the rank of lieutenant Guard transferred to the reserve. Later he served in the squadron Vnukovo compounds GVF. In June 1946, conducted its first scheduled flight IL-12 from Vnukovo in Copenhagen (Denmark) and Stockholm (Sweden). From February 1947 - Commander of the ship C-47 on international flights. In March of that year made its first flight of the Soviet transport airliner with passengers on board in India to attend the conference peoples of the Middle East. In 50-ies he worked in northern Yemen.

In 1959, Dr.. S. Yezerskyy was the reserve and the disease transferred to the non-flying job (engineer, chief inspector) in the General Directorate of Civil Air Fleet (from 1964. - Ministry of Civil Aviation) for the movement.

In 1977-1980 years until his retirement worked as a teacher in the training squad Sheremet'yevskiy airport. Since 1981, the veteran D. S. Ezersky actively involved in community work as deputy chairman of the board of war and labor veterans village "Sokol" in Moscow.
