(1579-1666) - Duke of Brunswick-Lц+neburg, a cousin of the previous. The seventh son of Henry, Duke of Brunswick-Lц+neburg-Dannenbergskogo, and Ursula of Saxe-Lauenburg-Engernskoy. He was born in Dannenberg. In 1594-99 he. studied in Rostock and Tuebingen, received a deep and broad education. Based in g. Hittsakere, devoted himself to scientific pursuits and literary work and later became known under the pseudonym of Gustavus Selenus, t. e. August Lц+neburg.
In 1616, Mr.. in Leipzig, he published his book "Das Schach-oder Kunigsspiel" ( "Chess, or the game of kings"), but part of it is devoted to direct-Nye practice game of chess, is the only translation of the works Rui Lopes.
