Biography Anuchin Dmitri
(8.09.1843, St. Petersburg - 4.06.1923, Moscow) Zoologist, geographer, ethnographer, archaeologist. One of the founders of anthropology in Russia.
Graduated from the Department of natural physics and mathematics (1867). MA (1880). Elected full member (1874), and then president (1890) the Society of Natural History, Anthropology and Ethnography. Since 1881. read on the physico-mathematical faculty of the first university course in anthropology. Full Professor in the Department of Geography and Ethnography of History and Philology of the University (1884). Courses given the history of geography, geography of the ancient world, a common geography, general ethnography, geography of Russia, Western Europe, geography, ethnography, Russia. In 1887, Mr.. transferred to the department of physics and physical geography of Physics and Mathematics Faculty. In 1889, Mr.. received his doctorate in geography. Since 1891, Mr.. ordinary professor. Founded at the University of anthropology (1907) and Geography (1893) museums. In 1911, Mr.. elected Dean of the Faculty of Physics and Mathematics. Head, organized in 1919. Department of Anthropology and Geography. Elected as an ordinary academician of the Academy of Sciences in Physics and Mathematics Department (Zoology) (1896), but two years later resigned from the title, t. to. unable to move to St. Petersburg, and was elected an honorary member (1898).
For scientific papers elected an honorary member of the Moscow University. Has published over 40 research abstracts and descriptions of geography, ethnography, anthropology, prehistoric archeology and zoology. Among them: 'anthropomorphic apes and lower races of mankind',
