Biography Kretschmer, Ernst
(1888-1964) - German psychologist and psychiatrist. Founders of the theory that relates the properties of a person with mental constitution of his body ( 'body structure and nature', 1921). He suggested the concept, according to Roy, there are three main types of bodily organization - pyknic, asthenic and athletic. According to K., a person to-Eye is characteristic of the first type of a constitutional body and are prone to manic-depressive psychosis, related to the second and third types prone to schizophrenia.
