Born in 1934 in St. Petersburg. He graduated from the Institute of Chemical Technology, and worked at a chemical plant, and then to design institute until 1963, dramatically changed his professional focus, becoming a journalist, writer, dramatist. Worked as head of the literary section of the Krasnoyarsk Spectators, editor of the Leningrad television station "Horizon". His works were published in newspapers and magazines, as a theater critic.
Since 1966. works as a drama of musical theater.
Author of more than fifty plays for the music scene (the original libretto, translation, stage version, the scripts, new versions librettnye). Around forty operas and operettas with its original and translated libretto put on theater stages, issued in the light of music publishers, recording companies issued, went on the air as a music TV movies.
