Platonov, Vyacheslav A.

Born January 21, 1939.
He headed the men's national volleyball team of the USSR (1977 - 1985) and 1990 - 1992). The team under his leadership became the Olympic champion (1980), twice - the world champion, European champion (1991). Repeatedly recognized as the best volleyball coach in the world.
Until 1995, worked as a head coach of Finland's national volleyball team.
Since 1995 - head coach of the sports club "Motorist".
