Born September 30, 1930 in g. Yerevan Armenian SSR. Father - Bunyatyan Artavazd Avalovich (1903 g. born.). Mother - Helen Budaghyan Egishevna (1906. born.). Daughter - Bunyatyan Karine Armenovna (1954 g. born.).

In 1954 he graduated from the 2-nd Moscow Medical Institute, specializing in physician-anesthesiologist-reanimator. MD, Ph.D., a professor from 1963 to present works in the Scientific Center of Surgery Russia Academy of Medical Sciences. He is currently head of the department of anesthesiology.
