At the age of 25 years (in 1848) wrote a treatise future of science, long remained unpublished, and gained fame only in 1890. In this book, Renan wrote about Jesus not as the Son of God, but as a real person existed and sought to establish his true life story. In 1875 he traveled to Athens.
