Autobiographical notes
Sources of my work lie in the traditional wooden sculpture - church, secular, consumer. Woodcarving covers all areas of popular culture, it is not only materially but also spiritually. It is ambiguous in the figurative sense, and simple in terms of technical means. Ax, saw, knife and soul of the tree, who lives in him and, after it cut down. Favorite examples - Paraskieva and Virgin. Therefore, I depict all women as Paraskeva - she personifies the image of the female deities of earth, water and love. I imagine myself in the art a follower of Russian masters who could do the "divine" simple toys.
