Biography Anna Pavlovna BARYKOVA
(1839 - 93). Her father - Pavel Pavlovich Kamensky, one of the "One Hundred Russian writers, at one time enjoyed a certain fame and his mother - nee Countess Tolstoy, also struggled on the literary field. Studied B. in Catherine's Institute, where he graduated in 1856. Since 1870 B. of stories poems in "Notes of the Fatherland", "Word", "Case", "Northern Messenger", "Week", "Russian Wealth", "Spring". Lyrics B. devoted almost exclusively to social themes. It is with great strength condemns brutal selfishness of the bourgeois classes of modern society ( "The album lucky ',' Fatherland Notes, 1878, N 10). Part B of poems. entered into a small book, published in 1878 in Pyatigorsk. In a separate edition appeared as a book of "my grandchildren" (Moscow, 1890) and the novel in verse "Saved", adapted from Tennyson and published by the "agent" (St. Petersburg, 1889).
