Biography Berestnev Nikolai Mikhailovich
(1867 - 1910). He graduated from the course at Moscow University, studied bacteriology under Professor GN. Gabrichevskogo, which helped a lot in the building of the Moscow Bacteriological Institute (1895). In 1897. defended his doctoral dissertation ( "Actinomycosis and its pathogens, MA), followed by an assistant professor at Moscow University. From 1895 to 1904. was assistant director of the Moscow Bacteriological Institute. Since 1900. participated in several scientific expeditions to study the plague in India and Batumi, malaria in Italy and here in Russia. In 1904. became head of the anti-plague laboratory at Fort Alexander I in Kronstadt, where in 1908. moved to the Moscow director of the bacteriological institute. Posted by a number of scientific papers on the bacteriology of diphtheria, cholera, plague and malaria.
