Biography Gangeblov Alexander Semenovich
Born in 1801, Mr.. a noble family of Georgian origin. He studied at the Odessa Institute of Richelieu, then the Corps of Pages. He served in the Life Guards regiment Izmailovsky. In May 1825, Mr.. Gangeblov adopted Svistunov, his companion on the body, a secret society, although, by his own admission, was little developed politically, is far from extreme sympathy designs of the conspirators, and even little knowledge about their immediate intentions. He was ready to withdraw from society, but on Dec. 14, 1825, Mr.. caught him by surprise. After interrogation by the Emperor Nicholas showed an investigative commission, which "gave the floor to Svistunov, of which discovered that" the purpose of the Society - to seek to a republican form of government and the union of Slavic tribes into one political body ". . He was sentenced to three months imprisonment in a fortress and translating the same rank in the army. All this Gangeblov he told in his memoirs. After the sentence, serving an arrest in the fort, he was perplexed to conduct political discussions with friends, "because they discussed subjects were in their loftiness not very accessible". Served in the Caucasus, participated in the campaigns of the Persian and Turkish (1826 - 29). In 1832, Mr.. Gangeblov retired. Memoirs Gangeblova, for which he took on the ninth decade, published in "Russian Archive" in 1886, and in 1888. (during the life of the author) came out a separate edition, with additions. For the history of the December case and the secret society is a source of valuable, although not a primary.
