Biography Grodekov Nikolai Ivanovich
Born in 1843. Education has received the Constantine military academy, the Academy of General Staff until 1873,. served in the Caucasus. In 1873, Mr.. participated in the Khiva campaign. In 1880, Mr.. participated in the Akhal-Tekinskiy expedition. In 1883, Mr.. appointed commander of the Syr-Darya region, in 1893. - Assistant to the Governor-General of the Amur, and in 1898. - Governor General and Commander of the Amur Military District. In 1900, Mr.. led subduing the unrest in northern Manchuria. In 1902, Mr.. appointed member of the Council of State in 1905. - A permanent member of the State Defense Council, and in early 1906. - Commander of the Far East with the rights of the commander in chief, and performed the difficult task of bringing the army to a peacetime footing, and eliminate its rear. Since the end of 1906. and 1908. served as commander of the Turkestan Military District. Print: "In Afghanistan" (1879), "Khiva expedition in 1873" (1883), "The war in Turkmenistan" (1883 - 84); "The Kirghiz and Karakirgiz Syr-Darya region" (1889); "Hidaya, comments Muslim law" (translated from English, 1893). Wrote in "Military Miscellany", "Russian Invalid", "New Times", etc.
