Born, probably in the late XVIII and early XIX century.; He enjoyed playing the violin. Incompatibility of temper and vice of many Russian talent prevented him create a strong public position: he gave music lessons, leading a hectic life and strongly bedstvuya. Drowned in the first 50 years in Ryazan, while bathing, Pushkin took part in it, there is an opinion, not based, however, any exact data, that "Mermaid" was written by Pushkin as an opera libretto is for Esaulova. In 30-ies he was issued a few songs, some of which have survived without presenting anything remarkable even for that time. His religious works are performed frequently and still in the spiritual and concerts in the churches ( "Gentle Light", "Praise the name of the Lord," an eight "Cherubim", etc.). These works do not have this character of the church, distinguished theatrical and sentimental, and reflecting the influence of the Italian operatic style. - See. S. Bulich "Pushkin and Russian music" (St. Petersburg, 1900, p.. 19 - 20, 25 - 26, notes).
