Studied in a nobleman's regiment, and St. Petersburg University, from 1852. almost until his death in different educational institutions of St. Petersburg has taught Russian language and literature. With a huge stock of versatile knowledge, experienced teacher, Kenevich able to bring in students a love for Russian literature. He was the first systematic explorer of literary activity Krylova.
