Biography Nikolai A. Lyubimov
(1830 - 1897). He graduated from the Physics and Mathematics of Moscow University. He received a master's degree for a thesis: "The basic law of electrodynamics and its application to the theory of magnetic phenomena" (1856), Doctor - for a thesis: "On Daltonovom law, and the number of vapor in the air at low temperatures" (1865). Consisted professor of physics at Moscow University. He was one of the closest associates Katkov and Leontief for the publication of the Russian Messenger "and" Moscow Gazette. In 1876, Mr.. participated in the commission, chaired by I.D. Delyanov, audited universities, and amounted to "Note on the shortcomings of the current state of our universities, who have facilitated the publication of a new university statute. In 1882, Mr.. appointed member of the Board of Minister of Education. Posted elementary physics textbook (1876) and published several articles on the history of physics. Journalistic works Lyubimov joined in the collection: "My contribution" (1881 and 1887); here also applies his essay: "MN. Katkov and his historical achievement "(1889). - See.
